FCC’s Story….How we got started…
With only a few people and a big vision, Faith Covenant Church began as a Bible study in the home of Charlie and Suzie Hughes. During this time God sovereignly built a team to raise a church family. With the keen desire to reach the lost, to embrace the rejected and love the “unlovable”, the motto for Faith Covenant became “Where Loves Touches People”. The team stepped out in faith to officially launch the church in January of 2001. The first church service was held in the Sneads Ferry Community Center.
With a passion to see people develop a deep and honest relationship with God and be changed and empowered through the Holy Spirit, Faith Covenant grew both numerically and spiritually. In November of 2002, the Lord blessed the church with the opportunity to purchase 50 acres of land on Hwy. 172 and in 2005 a new worship center was constructed on the property. In addition, in 2006 a friend sharing the church’s vision donated 66 acres of land on Hwy 17 which is a main connecting corridor on the East Coast. Only God can provide 110 acres of land to a church in 5 short years!! To God be the Glory!!
God continues to use the ministry to reach people in an atmosphere filled with vibrant worship and relevant Word. Plans are now underway for the future worship center and facilities as Faith Covenant continues to walk out its vision. The new facilities will be home to a state of the art Kidzone and Youth Ministry, creative arts, family recreation areas, training and outreach ministries and prayer rooms. With continued emphasis on touching the community with the love and power of God, worship is focused on God and a continued experience of knowing Him in a personal way…
It has been an exciting beginning for Faith Covenant Church….and it has only just begun!!!
